Troy Glaus had three hits and three RBI against his former team as the Arizona Diamondbacks played the Anaheim Angels to a 6-6 tie in Tempe, Ariz. The game was called after nine innings.
Alex Cintron, Craig Counsell and Chris Snyder had two hits apiece for the Diamondbacks.

Glaus went 2 for 2 with two RBI against Angels starter Jarrod Washburn, who yielded six hits and five runs in four-plus innings. Washburn walked three and struck out six.
"He left some balls up, but he's where he needs to be," Angels Manager Mike Scioscia said.
Washburn, 11-8 last season and in the final year of his contract, has been traveling back and forth to Wisconsin to visit his wife, Kerrie, who is due to deliver the couple's third child.
"Spring lets you see what pitches work and what pitches don't work," Washburn said. "Hanging change-ups won't work." . . .
Joe McEwing signed a minor league contract with the Royals and was invited to spring training five days after being released by the New York Mets. McEwing, 32, was hitting .133 this spring (2 for 15) when he was given the option of staying and working out with the Mets or being released outright. He opted to be released.
