. . . Appreciated a Real Holiday "Float"

Sunday, December 1, 2002; Page C02

. . . appreciated a real holiday "float." For 20 years now, Annapolis harbor has lit up with the glow of Santa-toting skiffs and garland-draped powerboats as they set sail in the carefully coordinated lights parade. The event, which started with one man's well-decorated houseboat, now attracts more than 30,000 spectators and features as many as 75 brightly festooned entries.

The Annapolis waterfront comes alive each December with the Eastport Yacht Club Lights Parade, which features scores of decorated boats of all sizes. (2000 Jill Booth)
