Fox Losing Its Head

Carrie Underwood sings "Alone," wearing very big, very scary '80s hair. Was that Donny Osmond in the audience? I'm definitely watching too much reality TV. Randy likes her singing, the hair, too. Simon predicts Carrie will win and sell more records than any other "Idol" winner.

Scott Savol sings "Against All Odds" and flings his hat and glasses. "This is a hot show tonight," says Paula, glancing lustily at Simon. Simon is thankful it was only a one-minute song or Scott might have gone into full striptease, which makes Paula even hotter.

Bo Bice sings "Time in a Bottle." Paula calls him "a gift." Simon says his hair now matches Paula's.

Nikko Smith also strips off some clothes while singing "Incomplete." Paula, panting, says she was speechless. Simon called it Nikko's best performance so far. Paula loses all restraint and jumps Simon, pressing her face to his and kissing him repeatedly on the mouth.

Vonzell Solomon sings "Best of My Love" while Paula, now in a frenzy, dances behind her. She says Vonzell took a risk and warns "if Simon does not recognize what you did . . ." Simon calls Vonzell's performance "very good." Paula tries to jump him again, but this time he's ready and pushes her away.

Constantine Maroulis sings the Partridge Family song "I Think I Love You" because, he says, "I think it rocks." And, ohmygawd, he's right! Constantine's hair is greasier than usual, which is hot. Randy can't get over the whole Partridge Family thing. Simon says his performance was like getting a poodle in a leather jacket. Paula begins to hit him again.

Nadia Turner sings "Time After Time" decked out in a two-story mohawk, which Randy loves and so does Paula, but Simon says she looks like a cruise ship singer who comes out in a different costume for every song.

Mikalah Gordon continues to try to hit a right note. Why is she still in the competition?

Anwar Robinson sings "Ain't Nobody" but he's nervous, though he still has the best hair of the bunch. Jessica Sierra winds things up with "Total Eclipse of the Heart," sporting black extensions in her blond hair, which somehow makes her sound better.
