152: CHRIS VOLKER, Old Mill, Sr.: Volker spearheaded the Patriots' drive to their sixth county title in seven years, and won the county individual title. Volker breezed to a regional title and placed second at states.
160: JOSH HAYGHE, Arundel, Sr.: He lost in double overtime in the county semifinals, but rebounded to win regionals and took second at states. Finished 33-10 this season.
160: LEW SPADARO, Severna Park, Sr.: One of only two wrestlers to repeat as county champion this year, Spadaro also took second at regionals. Won the Meade and Damascus tournaments at 160.
171: ADAM CHISHOLM, Old Mill, Sr.: He scored a late takedown over Jake Couch to claim the county title. Finished second at regionals (to Couch), then exacted some payback by beating Couch at states en route to a fourth-place finish.
171: JAKE COUCH, Chesapeake, Sr.: After losing, 6-5, to Adam Chisholm in the county finals, Couch bested his rival to win the regional final. He took sixth at states and finished his career with 117 wins over four years.
189: BRAD PENDOCK, Arundel, Sr.: Pendock was 35-0 (the longest unbeaten streak in the county this year) before a loss to South River's Chris Eliot in the region final. He rebounded by finishing second at states. Went 38-2 this season.
215: PATRICK MCLANIGAN, Chesapeake, Sr.: He won a 1-0 decision over Nick Harvey for the county title (and helped the Cougars take second), then placed fifth at the 4A/3A championships. Was 30-6 this season.
275: JOHN HICKCOX, Southern, 275. Sr.: For the second year in a row, Hickcox captured second in the state at the 2A/1A championships. The county champion also won a 2A/1A South Region title and finished 28-2.
