. . . strutted and fretted your hour on the stage. We all know Washington is home to fine theater, from the world-famous Kennedy Center to the smallest bare-bones community group. But did you know even the novice actor can get in on the action? Several of the area's professional theater groups offer classes for adult and youth beginners, ranging from a beginning method class to improvisation to working with masks.

Shakespeare Theatre Company member Floyd King teaches a modern and classical comedy class as part of the D.C. theater's master acting classes.
