Q Can you recommend an attractive bag that'd be big enough for me to carry extra shoes, gym clothes and other stuff to work? I don't want to take six different purses on the bus, but the big bags I've seen haven't looked nice enough for the office.

AYou've got lots of great options. LeSportsac, revitalized with the help of rocker-fashionista Gwen Stefani, has a medium Tribeca tote (below, $58) big enough to carry your workout gear, a towel, a few magazines and a water bottle. It comes in patterns ranging from an office-ready black to a peppy pink-and-green flower print. Another choice is L.L.Bean's classic boat and tote bag ($17 and up), cute for summer and available in multiple sizes. For something less sporty, check out its Town and Field tote in wool, leather or corduroy (above, $79 to $99). The materials make it downtown-appropriate, but it's roomy, too. Sara Switzer
