Along with Matt Carroll, Alexander is the second player from the NBDL's Roanoke franchise the Bobcats have signed in the last week.

Alexander led the developmental league with 8.3 assists and 2.2 steals in 32 games for Roanoke this season. He averaged 16.4 points, fourth in the league.

A 1995 first-round draft pick by San Antonio, Alexander has played in the NBA for six seasons, including stints with the Spurs, Denver and Orlando. He also has played in Italy.

ANOTHER MOVE: The Clippers claimed G Kenny Anderson off waivers from the Hawks, adding a veteran for a run at the playoffs. Anderson, 34, averaged 5.0 points and 2.5 assists before being waived last week.
