BWI has replaced its aging shuttle buses with a new fleet of 50 coaches to get passengers between the terminal, parking lots and BWI rail station. The red-and-white buses hold one-third more people with seating for 29 and standing room for 25 . . . Houston Intercontinental Airport has opened a new international arrivals building for the 6 million passengers it receives each year. Airport officials say they expect to process 4,500 people an hour, more than double the previous amount . . . . Meanwhile, a new concourse at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport will give Southwest Airlines eight new gates. It's scheduled to open March 8 . . . Chicago's O'Hare International this month officially becomes the only U.S. airport to be a hub for more than one airline (American and United) . . . To make room for a new runway, Frankfurt Airport has offered to purchase 1,200 homes in the suburb of Floersheim, Germany, for a total of $65 million, Bloomberg reported.
