Will the Montreal Expos end up in the Washington area? The issue will be discussed this week in Philadelphia, when Major League Baseball owners gather for their quarterly meeting. A recommendation on relocating the Expos may be made, but a decision is not expected until September or October. If the Expos relocate, Washington and Northern Virginia are at the top of a short list of possible destinations.

Today, The Washington Post focuses on the Washington Baseball Club, the group of owners vying to purchase the Expos. A story on the Virginia Baseball Club, which has pursued the dream for a decade, will appear tomorrow.
