Lightning Waiting on Status of 3 Injured Players

The Lightning won't know the status of injured players Ruslan Fedotenko, Pavel Kubina and Vincent Lecavalier until after this afternoon's practice at St. Pete Times Forum.
Fedotenko, who is tied with Brad Richards for the team lead in playoff goals with 10, and Kubina, the Lightning's top defenseman, each sat out Monday's 1-0 Tampa Bay victory in Calgary with suspected head injuries.
C Vincent Lecavalier missed the final four minutes of that game after being crushed by the Flames' Ville Nieminen along the side boards. Nieminen received a five-minute major penalty for boarding and a game misconduct for the hit, which jarred loose Lecavalier's helmet.
Nieminen could face disciplinary action. Game 5 is Thursday in Tampa.
"There was supposed to be an emphasis on hits to the head," Lightning Coach John Tortorella said of the hit on Lecavalier. "On any player, your player, or an opposing player, when he's defenseless and it's a blow to the head you're always concerned about his health."
