DCPLAY:
DCPLAY is a social group of people 21-39 in the DC area who get together in large or small groups to see a play, usually coupled with dinner before or after. It's free to join and the events and people are laid back, friendly, and a lot of fun! http://dcplay.org

DC Classics:
DC Classics is a social/discussion group that meets at public venues in the DC metro area to watch and discuss classic, foreign, and independent films. Anyone can plan an event. Membership is free and open to everyone. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/dcclassics/

DC Ushers:
The Ushers is a theatre-going social group that meets for dinner, sees a show, has a discussion with the cast, and the cast joins them for desserts. In it's 13th year, the group meets for play readings and marathon theatre weekend trips to NYC. For more information www.ushers.us

Footlights:
Footlights is a DC area modern drama discussion group, now completing its ninth year. They meet monthly at local restaurants for dinner and discussion of a play with playwrights, directors and scholars. They read plays, and usually attend performances of most of the plays discussed. Membership in Footlights is free, although they encourage contributions to cover expenses. Footlights always gets group rates at local theaters. You can attend their dinner-discussions, join their theater trips, or both. All contributions to Footlights are tax-deductible. Visit them at www.footlightsdc.org.

The Theatre Lobby:
The Theatre Lobby Trust Fund members have been awarding Mary Goldwater Awards for "excellence against odds" for 19 years to small theaters in the Washington area and to artists working in them. We are seeking new members who would like to participate in rewarding deserving small theaters and their artists. Theatre Lobby members meet monthly to discuss what we've seen and to plan the awards. Prices are one half of the face value of the ticket plus a service charge (based on 12% of the full price of the ticket. Online service charges are based on 17% of the full price of the ticket).
