They address every part of car maintenance, including tires, seating position and mirrors.

Driver safety, driver awareness, drunken driving and vehicle dynamics, including braking and skid control, are just a few of the topics they address.

The highlight of the course was the behind-the-wheel training. Our son was in control of a high-performance car as an instructor led him through a challenging skid pad, rapid lane changes and braking exercises.

We were extremely impressed with the quality of the instructors and their ability to understand young drivers.

Driver's Edge should be the standard for all new drivers. We were among the fortunate few to take advantage of this wonderful course.

Thank you for making us aware of this course through your column. You make some very no-nonsense suggestions for toiling through traffic that is becoming almost impossible to navigate in the Washington area.
