"InPulse" service costs 10 cents/min. and 99 cents/day, starting at $50 for 60 days. Deposits of $15 to $29.99 expire in 30 days; $30 to $74.99, 90 days.

$59.99: 500 anytime minutes, unlimited night/weekend minutes, then 45 cents/min.

$79.99: 1,000 anytime minutes, unlimited night/weekend minutes, then 40 cents/min. Plans cover two phones; others add $9.99 each.

Notes

Roaming adds 69 cents/min. Unlimited calls to other Verizon Wireless phones. Text messaging starts at 2 cents each incoming, 10 cents each outgoing, or $2.99 for 100 messages. Picture messages cost 25 cents each. Web access starts at $5.

Also, fees listed above are monthly. We only list plans $50 and less (under $80 for shared-use plans) with free long distance and nationwide use. Prices include any separate caller ID and voice-mail charges and assume a one- or two-year contract.
