Shaquille O'Neal's injury and Mourning's early foul trouble began to hurt the Heat when third-string center Michael Doleac missed a short jumper, turned over the ball while trying to find Wade and then blew an easy layup. The only thing worse than Doleac's start was the way Wizards fans booed Redskins running back Clinton Portis and former cornerback Champ Bailey. Maybe they didn't like Portis's hideous sport coat. Mourning picked up his third foul moments after reentering the game with eight minutes left and had to go back to the bench. With three minutes left, Wade split a double team, floated and hit a jumper off glass for his 14th and 15th points of the half. Washington ended the half with a 16-10 foul advantage, but missed five free throws. Antawn Jamison's knee appeared to bother him, and he only played the first three minutes of the quarter.
