What's cheaper than a hotel and comes with breakfast? Your home, of course, and the homes of your friends and relatives.

Rare is the person who's never been -- or hosted -- an overnight guest. The Travel section plans to chronicle the joys and pitfalls of being a guest and a host, and we want your help.

Please send us your experiences -- both the horrid and the happy -- and any thoughts you care to share for possible inclusion in our look at one of the most popular aspects of travel. Please include a name and either phone number or e-mail address so we can contact you if we have questions.

Send your entries to Guest Tidbits, Washington Post Travel Section, 1150 15th St. NW, Washington, D.C. 20071, or e-mail them to travel@washpost.com with "Guest Tidbits" in the subject field.
