Maryland Public Television (Channel 22) dives into the Chesapeake Bay, devoting its prime- time lineup to the nation's largest estuary. It's unlikely the PBS station will take away viewers from the networks, but a compelling Walter Cronkite-narrated documentary about the bay seems like the perfect preamble to the "American Idol" finale, don't you think?
