Best Matchup: Gar-Field (13-8) and ninth-ranked Osbourn (17-4) won, respectively, the Cardinal and Cedar Run regular season titles only to lose their opening district tournament games. This will be the teams' first meeting this season.

Best Matchup: Turner Ashby (18-3) finished with the best regular season record of all the teams in the field. A catalyst has been senior catcher Justin Miller, who is hitting over .600 this season. Sherando (16-4) is peaking down the stretch thanks largely to pitcher Matt McCarty, who was named AA Northwestern District player of the year.
