What do you think is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?
"Transportation gridlock. The Washington metropolitan area holds the title as 'third worst in the nation.' Already certain neighborhoods are choked at rush hour and residents can't get out of their driveways and subdivisions. We desperately need help for Metro, rail and highway infrastructure. This urgent need can only be met with a regional response, a regional authority with a dedicated revenue source. Otherwise, the economic development and job growth we have enjoyed will be at risk. When I am sworn in, I will use the clout from my four years of legislative seniority to deliver real solutions."
Why should voters elect you?
"Because I am the only candidate with previous legislative experience and seniority as a Virginia delegate, for which service I received an Outstanding Legislator Award."
