The fourth installment in the Charlie Bone series (there are supposed to be five books in all) journeys well beyond the walls of Bloor's Academy, where Charlie and his friends go to school. For readers, it's a mysterious, magical, moody journey.
As the book opens, it seems as if some things might finally be going well for the children attending the private English school. For example, Billy Raven, the tiny albino orphan who can talk to animals, is finally getting his wish of being adopted. But it doesn't take long for Charlie -- and Billy -- to figure out that Billy's new parents aren't going to be the loving family he so desperately wants.
This book introduces characters with great names, including Tantalus Ebony and Joshua Tilpin. It also provides new developments for longtime favorite characters such as Olivia Vertigo. But at the heart of the book is Charlie's search for his presumed-dead father. Will Charlie and Billy find what they're looking for in the majestic Castle of Mirrors? (Of course, we're not actually going to answer that question; we want you to read the book!)
