mythbusters: SHARK WEEK Special
Sunday at 9 p.m. on Discovery
Discovery Channel begins its 18th summer "Shark Week" with a two-hour premiere hosted by Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman that investigates myths from the 1975 movie "Jaws."
The "Shark Week" schedule includes "Sharkbite! Surviving Great White" on Monday; "American Shark" on Tuesday; and "Shark Hunter: Chasing the Great White" on Thursday. "Mythbusters" repeats on Wednesday.
All of these shows begin at 9 p.m.
Hyneman and Savage also will turn up throughout the week in shorter segments to present facts about the fish.

Sports and entertainment celebrities gather for the 13th edition of this annual show that salutes top performers and major sports achievements.
Matthew Perry, who played competitive tennis as a teenager in Canada, will host the show, taped July 13 at Hollywood's Kodak Theatre.
Oprah Winfrey will present the Arthur Ashe Courage award, given to individuals whose contributions to athletics transcend sports.
For the second year, winners in all categories were determined by fan voting.
