State officials last week announced that Maryland has picked the southern route for the east-west highway to connect the Interstate 270 and Interstate 95 corridors in Montgomery and Prince George's counties. The southern route of the 18-mile road, known as the intercounty connector, has been on planning maps for four decades. Federal approval of the route is required.

Montgomery Extra wants to know what you think of the decision, and how it may affect the community or you personally.
