September finds a desperate housewife in our midst.

Touching the Heart of Every Neighborhood, Unity Health Care's 20th Anniversary benefit gala, is at the Hilton Washington. The organization serves uninsured and underinsured District of Columbia residents. Master of ceremonies: Washington Post columnist Courtland Milloy. The Jesse B. Barber Jr. Community Health Care Award and the Janelle Goetcheus Medically Underserved Advocacy Awards will be presented. Remarks by Christine Brennan, USA Today sports columnist and author.
