No. 17 Westfield had the ball on its 47-yard line trailing No. 7 Centreville by four with 2 minutes 19 seconds remaining Friday. Needing a quick touchdown to remain undefeated, the Bulldogs turned to All-Met running back Evan Royster. It took Royster two carries to reach the end zone and help give Westfield a crucial 34-31 AAA Concorde District victory. Here's how the Bulldogs did it:
| Down-Dist. | Field Pos. | Play |
| 1-10 | Westfield 47 | Incomplete Pass |
| 2-10 | Westfield 47 | Royster carried on a sweep right and raced down the sideline. Gain of 34 yards. |
| 1-10 | Centreville 19 | Royster scampered 19 yards up the middle on an inside dive. Touchdown. |
