It was nearly midnight when the Fauquier team bus pulled away from the parking lot at Stafford on Friday night, but first-year coach Greg Hatfield said the team's 27-10 victory -- the first of his regime -- was well worth the wait. Falcons senior QB Zac Caito rushed for 124 yards and a touchdown and threw for 114 more in the game, which was stopped in the first quarter and delayed about 90 minutes because of lightning. . . .

Warren County senior H.B. Banjoman scored a school-record seven touchdowns in Friday's 49-26 victory over Randolph-Macon Academy . Banjoman, who rushed for 366 yards, scored on runs of 7, 35, 10, 11, 36, 32 and 71 yards. The performance upped Banjoman's season total to 623 yards and nine touchdowns in only two games. . . .

Since losing to West Potomac , 14-12, on Oct. 26, 2001, Robinson has won 35 consecutive regular season games. Manassas Park (27) and Poolesville (22) are next on the list. . . .

Westfield All-Met RB Evan Royster ran for 246 yards in Friday's 45-10 victory over W.T. Woodson , leaving him nearly as many (245) shy of the 5,000-yard mark for his career. . . .

Marshall , which mustered only 67 points and two victories last season, already has surpassed both figures this season. The Statesmen have scored 88 points in their 3-0 start. . . . Centreville has scored 71 points in the first quarter of its three games this season.
