Editor's Note:

With the opening of the fall season for area theater groups, Southern Maryland Extra has asked Lynn Follmer Thorne to review community shows.

Thorne is a veteran of local theater. She has worked with the Hard Bargain Players, Port Tobacco Players and NobleHeart Repertory Company at the Black Box Theatre in Indian Head. An award-winning actress, she has also served in technical capacities, including assistant director and properties mistress. She severed ties with local theater groups before becoming a reviewer for this Extra.

Thorne has worked in television news and public relations and now is a freelance writer. She and her husband and their two children live in La Plata.

For the past three years, Thorne has been a judge for the Washington Area Theatre Community Honors, an organization that recognizes artistic and technical excellence in community theater productions in the D.C. area.
