An Oct. 24 article on Argentina's election incorrectly attributed a quotation to Cristina Fernandez Kirchner, who won a Senate seat on Sunday and is the wife of President Nestor Kirchner. It was Alberto Fernandez, the president's cabinet chief, who said: "We're very pleased because we have received enormous backing from the whole country. It was almost a referendum on all of our efforts."

An Oct. 23 Sports headline incorrectly referred to Dom Capers as the coach of the National Football League's Carolina Panthers. Capers coaches the Houston Texans.

A graphic in the Oct. 23 Business section about companies vying for deals with America Online incorrectly said that Google has no instant-messaging network or service. A version of such a service, called Google Talk, is available in "beta," or test, form.

A photo caption in the Oct. 22 Sports section said that new Baltimore Orioles pitching coach Leo Mazzone signed a three-year contract worth about $450,000. The contract is worth about $450,000 a year.

The Oct. 21 Sports section reported an incorrect result for the high school volleyball game between Magruder and Sherwood. Magruder won the match.
