-- These are the highlights of actions taken Monday by the Supreme Court. The justices:

_Agreed to consider a constitutional challenge to the Bush administration's military tribunals for foreign terror suspects, a major test of the government's wartime powers.

_Refused to consider shielding employers from discrimination lawsuits by transsexuals, leaving in place a victory for Cincinnati Police Officer Philecia Barnes, formerly Phillip Barnes.

_Jumped back into the issue of the rights of foreigners in criminal cases, agreeing to review appeals from two citizens from Honduras and Mexico.

_Said they will consider a bankruptcy case involving unpaid workers' compensation premiums.

_Gave the Bush administration permission to participate in oral arguments later this month in a major abortion case involving New Hampshire's law and a second case involving protests by abortion opponents.

_Refused to consider a challenge to Florida laws that require sex offenders to register their addresses with the state and submit DNA samples for a database.
