On the Ballot
Today, Virginians are picking their next governor, lieutenant governor and attorney general. They will also choose the 100 members of the House of Delegates, one of two chambers in the General Assembly. Some local offices and bond issues are also on ballots in Northern Virginia.

6 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Voting Rules
Voters must have registered by Oct. 11. At the polls, they must provide identification or sign an Affirmation of Identification. The types of acceptable identification include a valid Virginia driver's license; a military ID; any ID issued by a federal, state or local government; an employer-issued photo ID card; or a Social Security card.
