If you want Thanksgiving dinner at home but you don't want to cook, consider takeout. Dozens of restaurants, supermarkets, gourmet shops, caterers and hotels in the Washington area offer Thanksgiving takeout as entire meals at a fixed price or a la carte side dishes, appetizers and desserts. Just pick it up, transfer the takeout side dishes into your own serving pieces (we won't tell) and when you get compliments, smile. Ordering a Thanksgiving meal not only saves time and reduces stress but also -- perhaps best of all -- leaves less to clean up at the end of the day. This year's list is arranged by geographical region. Menu offerings and prices vary greatly. Check the Web sites or call for details on what's available.
