Best Hit: Redskins linebacker Chris Clemons hit Oakland quarterback Kerry Collins from the blind side, forcing a wobbly throw that was intercepted by Lemar Marshall and returned 17 yards for the Redskins' only touchdown of the day.

Worst Fumble: Running back Clinton Portis fumbled on a routine running play when defensive end Tommy Kelly knocked the ball out from behind, giving it to the Raiders at the Washington 15 and leading to a 30-yard Sebastian Janikowski field goal with 31 seconds left in the first quarter.

Worst Clock Management: The Redskins wasted at least 40 seconds on their final possession of the first half, then had to use a vital timeout after an incomplete pass. They survived to kick a 45-yard field goal but squandered several more chances to score a touchdown.

Best Coverage: Hard to believe Redskins safety Sean Taylor was wearing a boot to protect his sprained right ankle earlier in the week. Taylor was all over the field on pass defense and helped limit Randy Moss to three catches for 40 yards.

Best Catch: Washington native Jerry Porter went across the middle on third and four from the Oakland 26 in the fourth quarter, caught the ball and was hit hard by Taylor. Porter admitted to being groggy after the hit but held on for a first down in a drive that allowed the Raiders to tie it at 13.

Best Sack: Raiders defensive end Derrick Burgess, who grew up in Greenbelt and attended Eleanor Roosevelt High School, came around the corner on the Redskins' final drive and sacked quarterback Mark Brunell on fourth and two at the Oakland 43, ending any chance for a Washington comeback.

Best Moss: Santana Moss had four catches for 53 yards and a long reception of 27 yards, narrowly besting Raiders wide receiver Randy Moss, with three catches for 40 yards and a long of 26 yards. Santana Moss, as usual, answered all questions afterward. Randy Moss, as usual, dressed in silence and refused to speak other than to say, "I'm not talking."

Best Revenge: Norv Turner got a game ball from his team, with many players saying afterward they really did want to win this game for their head coach who was fired by the Redskins with three games left in the 2000 season.

Worst Injury: Redskins H-back Mike Sellers had to be taken to Washington Hospital Center after he was blocked in the back by Oakland's Isaiah Ekejiuba on a fourth-quarter Raiders punt return. Sellers came back on the field on the Raiders' next punt and was called for holding on Ekejiuba. Tests revealed Sellers has a broken rib.
