As Ralph Reed 's longtime spokeswoman, Lisa Baron has her name in the papers a lot. Her boss, the former Christian Coalition president, is running for lieutenant governor of Georgia and facing questions about his dealings with scandal-plagued lobbyist Jack Abramoff.

But Baron is also popping up in print these days with the shockingly saucy -- often downright ribald -- weekly column she writes for the Sunday Paper, an alty sort of weekly aimed at Atlanta's young upscale types.

We tried to excerpt some of the better lines, but no go. Baron writes about, oh, everything -- her private parts (and her conversation with her father-in-law about them), and the day she wanted to put a lizard down her husband's pants (for kicks), and her unfulfilled desires to, er, sleep her way through the ethnic equivalent of Disney's "It's a Small World" ride.

Trust us, this stuff is really hot! (Google it!)

Not exactly what we'd expect from a close associate of the standard-bearer of family-values conservativism. But Baron sees no conflict between her work for Reed and her "Committed" column -- the sexy stuff is all of the intra-marital kind, vignettes from her relationship with husband Jimmy Baron , an Atlanta DJ -- who, she notes, had been airing lots of intimate details of their life together on his popular morning radio show.

"I wanted to give a forum to what I hear women my age talking about and identifying with," said the 33-year-old. "We all struggle with when to have children and when to postpone your career and what if your libido is stronger than your husband's."

Reed was traveling yesterday, so we couldn't ask her to find out from him what he thinks of her column -- but she swears that wouldn't be awkward anyway. "He's part of my extended family," she said, adding that Reed knows all about her life from the essays -- but not from her husband's raunchy radio show.

"I know Ralph doesn't listen to that," she said, "because I tell him, 'Do not listen.' "

Jenna Bush, Playing Santa in Georgetown

"Oh, yeah," the tall blonde with the sexy-raspy voice chattered into her cell phone, " Barbara loves that stuff!"

And with that, patrons of Georgetown's Bluemercury cosmetics boutique knew for certain Tuesday night that they were bearing witness to a very special Christmas moment: Jenna Bus h on a shopping spree!

The charter-school teacher dropped a couple hundred dollars during her leisurely visit, chatting up the salesfolk, checking out the Mario Badescu skin-care line, trying on Nars blush and ultimately buying Trish McEvoy body cream, Fresh eye shadow, Laura Mercier bronzer and, well, a whole lot more.

But don't accuse us of spoiling everyone's holiday surprise: On several occasions, when employees asked Jenna if she wanted them to wrap an item, shoppers report, she responded, "Nah, it's for me."
