Player of the Year

CHRISTINA PYBUS {vbar} Forest Park Midfielder {vbar} Senior

Repeat All-Extra was honorable mention All-Met, first-team all-region -- one of two Prince William players to achieve that honor -- and Cardinal District co-player of the year.

Scored 11 goals and had 18 assists for Cardinal District champion.

Will play field hockey at Bridgewater.

Coach of the Year

TIM VAUGHAN {vbar} Forest Park

Third-year coach guided the Bruins to their first Cardinal District title, the finest season in the school's five-year history.

Appearing in the Northwestern Region playoffs for the first time, Forest Park (11-5) advanced to the region semifinals.

First Team

GK Saskia Braun, Forest Park, Jr. -- German exchange student made the most of her year in the United States, earning second-team all-region, posting eight shutouts and conceding just 11 goals.

D Julie Evans, Woodbridge, Sr. -- Cardinal District co-player of the year and second-team all-region selection had 11 goals and five assists to help guide the team to the region semifinals.

D Marissa Evans, Forest Park, Sr. -- Second-team all-region selection was the leader of the Bruins' stingy defense.

D Lauren Roper, Osbourn Park, Jr. -- First-team all-region pick helped lead the Yellow Jackets to a berth in the region playoffs. Had two goals and one assist.

M Katie Brennan, Osbourn Park, Jr. -- Repeat All-Extra had six goals and three assists, earning second-team all-region honors for Cedar Run District runners-up.

M Jennifer Pannocchia, Woodbridge, Sr. -- Second-team all-region pick scored 10 goals and had 17 assists for the Vikings.

F Ashby Nickerson, Forest Park, Jr. -- Second-team all-region selection had 11 goals and four assists for the Bruins.
