Player of the Year

ASHLEY FERRY {vbar} Osbourn Park Outside Hitter {vbar} Senior

Totaled 143 kills, including 22 in the last two playoff matches, and 59 aces for Virginia AAA state quarterfinalists.

Cedar Run District player of the year helped lead team to unbeaten league record.

First-team all-Northwestern Region selection.

Coach of the Year

KATE SOUTHCOTT {vbar} Osbourn Park

Repeat All-Extra coach of the year guided team to 21-5 record and second consecutive Virginia AAA state tournament berth.

Avenged early season loss to Forest Park by knocking off Bruins in region semifinals to cap a 19-match winning streak.

Team ranked No. 1 in state for part of season.

First Team

Alix Grimm, Forest Park, Sr. -- Outside hitter racked up 195 kills and 103 digs for Cardinal District champions. Will attend Old Dominion University.

Morgan Gross, Forest Park, Sr. -- Setter totaled 55 service aces and 536 assists to earn Cardinal District player of the year honors.

Monika Linden, Osbourn Park, Sr. -- Middle hitter finished with 168 kills and 73 blocks for Cedar Run District champions.

Kerry Shannon, Osbourn Park, Sr. -- All-Met libero/back-row specialist posted some of the best outings in the region and state tournaments, with 47 digs in her last three matches.

Helen Theisen, Osbourn Park, Soph. -- Promising young setter amassed 535 assists, 159 digs and 71 aces.

Amy Trykowski, Forest Park, Sr. -- Middle hitter collected 181 kills, 115 solo blocks and 26 service aces.
