Katie's Ex: Baby? What Baby?

Aw, snap! Katie Holmes shouldn't hold her breath for a baby gift or card from ex-fiance Chris Klein .

"No, I don't think so," the 26-year-old actor told AP Radio in a recent interview when asked if he would celebrate the impending birth of Holmes's little bundle of joy with her fiance, Tom Cruise .

"Her and my relationship is a time in the past. And it's a time that I'll always look back with in fondness, but her and I have moved on, and she has a separate life," the grammatically loose "American Pie" star said. "It's better that we keep it that way."

Holmes has not revealed her due date.

Evan Marriott, Just an Ordinary Joe

No, you weren't having a "Joe Millionaire" flashback yesterday morning. That was Evan Marriott ambling up Seventh Street NW in Chinatown.

A source says the 31-year-old Marriott sported his signature super-curly raven locks, black flip-flops and no jacket, despite the chilly weather. The former construction worker stumbled over an air grate and looked around sheepishly to see if anyone had seen his slip. Um, they had. (And Evan? You might want to consider closed-toe shoes in the winter.)

According to manager Randy James, the Los Angeles-based reality star was in Virginia Beach to visit family for the holidays before making a side trip to the District, where he stayed at the swanky Hotel Monaco. James says Marriott has a "lady friend" in Washington.

For Mirren, D.C.'s a Prime Suspect

British actress Helen Mirren opened up about Washington at the Capri-Hollywood International Film Festival yesterday in Capri, Italy. And believe us, it wasn't too pretty.

Mirren, who was in Washington earlier this month for the Kennedy Center Honors, described the nation's capital as a "very gossipy little village of people all going to the same bars . . . all watching each other having affairs with each other." Ouch.

The 60-year-old actress also said the way Washingtonians interact is "fascinating, an absolute schizophrenia." She added, erroneously, "It's a violent city, the murder capital of the U.S." (Lady, look it up.)

But all was not lost: Mirren pointed out that she was "immensely impressed" by the Kennedy Center Honors. Whew.

Oprah Mishap Was No Fowl-Up

Officials now say it was wear and tear -- not a collision with a bird -- that damaged the windshield of Oprah Winfrey 's private jet, forcing the plane to return to Santa Barbara Municipal Airport.

"There was no bird involved, but the pilot did tell my captain that he felt it was a fatigue thing with the glass," Santa Barbara City Fire Department spokesman John Ahlman told the Associated Press.

Winfrey and boyfriend Stedman Graham were not hurt in Monday's incident.

Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker and his wife, actress Shanna Moakler, welcomed their first daughter together on Christmas Eve, People.com reports. Alabama Louella Barker joins the couple's 2-year-old son, Landon . Moakler has another daughter, Atiana , 6, with ex-fiance Oscar De La Hoya . The "Meet the Barkers" co-stars wed last year.

In the afterlife, the doughnuts are always fresh: Brief and appreciative moment of silence for Michael Vale, 83, who died in New York last weekend of complications from diabetes. He was the groggy Fred the Baker of Dunkin' Donuts commercials for 15 years -- the dude who always said, "Time to make the doughnuts."
