Inaugural Ceremony

Noon

Colonial Capitol.

Invitations required.

There will be a heated tent where about 1,000 people can watch the ceremony on closed-circuit television. Reservations will not be available. The tent will be on the Courthouse Green in Market Square, on Duke of Gloucester Street. Kaine will pass by the Courthouse Green in the inaugural parade immediately after the ceremony.

Inaugural Parade

1 p.m.

The parade will run three-quarters of a mile along Duke of Gloucester Street, beginning at the Colonial Capitol, traveling past a reviewing stand at the Palace Green and concluding at Nassau Street.
