Projecting Judge Alito's Impact

Ultimately, it won't make much difference to me, a white man who's led a fairly privileged life, to have Samuel A. Alito Jr. confirmed to the Supreme Court, other than that the American ideal of "liberty and justice for all" may survive only as an empty slogan.
The "conservative" revolution conserves nothing; rather, it exploits, unrepentantly, and is anything but compassionate. Judge Alito is integral in the unfolding of this effective rebuke of "government of the people, by the people and for the people."
Our bearing witness to the orchestrated degeneration of this great country toward the tyranny we as a nation have overcome time and again -- via the American Revolution, the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, the Bill of Rights and all of the progressive, humanitarian steps since -- demands far greater resistance than that now evidenced through the public's apathy, dissatisfied yet defeatist remarks from some "liberal" senators and the dispassionate acquiescence of the media.
