Adding a 6-foot-10 Serbian transfer did more than just give sixth-ranked Paul VI Catholic an inside presence. It made the Panthers a pretty tall team on the perimeter, too.

With Miladin Kovacevik at center, Coach Levi Franklin has been able to juggle other players, putting 6-8 Danny Sumner at small forward -- the position he likely will play next year at William & Mary.

Add in point guard Calvin Mainor and swingman Jean Cajou, who has signed with Mount St. Mary's, and Paul VI (11-4, 4-2) has a talented lineup capable of playing with anyone in the powerful Washington Catholic Athletic Conference.

"The biggest thing right now is the guys are really covering each other's back," Franklin said. "Instead of worrying about egos and shooting and scoring, they are worrying about winning for Paul VI."
