Boys

G E.J. Dawson, Mount Vernon, Sr.: The Majors have won 11 straight games after an 0-2 start with a large contribution from Dawson. He is averaging 17.8 points per game during the streak.

F Cliff Dixon, Suitland, Sr.: Had 23 points and 15 rebounds and made a game-winning layup in the final seconds of a 76-74 victory over Crossland on Jan. 6, then had 22 points, 18 rebounds, 5 steals and 5 blocks on Friday in an 83-76 overtime victory over Bowie.

F Chris Kuntz, Lake Braddock, Sr.: Since leading scorer Richard Magee was lost for the season in mid-December, Kuntz has averaged 20.6 points, including a career-high 27 in one-point win over Annandale Friday.

Girls

F Jasmine Caracciolo, Stonewall Jackson, Jr.: Connected on eight three-pointers during a 25-point night Friday in 78-49 win over Fauquier.

G Becky Fernandes, Bishop Ireton, Sr.: Made 17 free throws in 22 attempts and scored team-high 29 points in a 67-65 double-overtime win over Bishop O'Connell on Thursday.

G Jennifer Libbares, Centreville, Sr.: Scored season-high 22 points Friday, more than twice her average, in 60-55 win at Chantilly.

F Lauren Thomas-Johnson, Notre Dame, Sr.: Totaled 20 points, 7 assists and 7 steals in 72-55 win over Oak Hill on Saturday.
