Sundance Catalog, the retail arm of Robert Redford's Utah-based Sundance empire, has something for consumers who want to decorate their houses without despoiling the environment: A new Prairie Paint line recycles "post-consumer" paints -- gallons of leftover interior latex paint from decorators and other bulk users -- and blends them into fresh color formulations in a process that the company says makes the paint less toxic to the environment.
And being ecologically correct doesn't necessarily mean being green. Prairie Paint comes in six trend-conscious colors: Hemp, Moss, Sky, Wheat, Wine and Moonlight.
A gallon costs $25 and covers about 430 square feet with one coat. Also available: 250 milliliters (about half a pint) for $5, or a set of six samplers (one of each color) for $28. 800-422-2770 or http:/
