Although it's still a challenge to find Xbox 360 hardware these days, there's a good reason to hunt one down. The first next-generation fighter game, "Dead or Alive 4," serves up a powerful punch with high-definition visuals (assuming you're using an HD TV), online gameplay and interactive arenas hand-tailored to the game's usual gorgeous group of knockouts.

Making the jump from Xbox ("Dead or Alive: Ultimate") to Xbox 360, Tecmo's fighter has never looked better. From the photorealistic backdrops, which are chock-full of things to break while fighting, to the faces of the scantily clad beauties, this game gives a glimpse of what next-generation processing power brings to the arena. The brilliant cinematics that introduce each fighter offer the same degree of visual clarity as the gameplay itself.

"Dead or Alive 4" offers 22 fighters with varying martial arts backgrounds and weapons. ("Halo" fans will find an unlockable character called Spartan-458: Master Chief with a female voice.) The details on the individual fighters are impressive. When Jann Lee (a Bruce Lee doppelganger) flexes his powerful muscles you can see his veins. Masked luchadora La Mariposa's glittery costume actually sparkles. When you blend in the swift and lifelike animations and the unique environments, you have a must-have fighter for Xbox 360. With Xbox Live gameplay, fighters can go mano a mano with virtually no lag time in the action, which extends the replay value of this fighting champ .
