'Driving Miss Daisy' on Stage

"Driving Miss Daisy" is the story of more than 20 years in the relationship that grows between an elderly Jewish widow and the black man her son hires as her driver. The production opens tomorrow night and runs through March 12 at the Black Box Theatre in Indian Head. Showtimes are 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 3 p.m. Sundays. The One-Act Play's the Thing

The Maryland Community Theatre Festival Association presents a series of one-act plays from theater troupes throughout Maryland this weekend at Port Tobacco Players Theatre, 508 Charles St., La Plata.

Session I: 8 p.m. tomorrow. "For Whom the Southern Bell Tolls" (Port Tobacco Players).

Session II: 9 a.m. Saturday. "Overruled" (Sandy Spring Theatre Group), "The Whole Shebang" (Prince George's Little Theatre) and "Foul Territory" (Thurmont Thespians).

Session III: 1 p.m. Saturday. "Bums" (Hard Bargain Players), "Going Up?" (Laurel Mill Playhouse) and "Cheaters" (Newtowne Players).

Session IV: 7:30 p.m. Saturday. "The Way to Miami" (Montgomery Playhouse), "Perfectly Good Airplanes" (Silver Spring Stage) and "The Assignment" (Colonial Players).

Session V: 10 a.m. Sunday. "Occam's Razor" (Cedar Lane Stage).
