WHEELCHAIRS FOR SENIORS

· "Wishes on Wheels" program offers wheelchairs, usually at no out-of-pocket cost, to seniors ages 65 and older who qualify. 800-823-5220 or http://www.threewishes2.com .

· Medicare recipients who have arthritis, cardiovascular disease or respiratory disorders, and also have difficulty walking or using a standard wheelchair, may be eligible for an electric wheelchair. Call Gregory Coleman at 800-810-2877.

HEALTH SERVICES FOR THE ELDERLY

For seniors who find it difficult to leave home, the Chesapeake-Potomac Home Health Agency Inc., a nonprofit group serving Charles, Calvert and St. Mary's counties, will make home visits to draw blood for lab tests, organize prescription drugs or fill insulin syringes. Call the Intake Office at 800-656-4343, Ext. 121, and press option No. 4.
