General Dynamics Corp. of Falls Church won a $289 million contract from the Marine Corps to design a remote-controlled, electronic, improvised explosive device counter-measure system and provide logistic, technical and field support for high-powered, remote-controlled IED jamming systems.
Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory of Laurel won a $30.4 million contract from the Navy's Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center to develop a complete prosthetic upper extremity with full motor and sensory function and to research neural control, sensory input, advanced mechanics and actuators, and prosthesis design and integration.
Kellogg Brown & Root Services of Arlington, a unit of Halliburton Co., won a $6 million addition to a contract from the Naval Facilities Engineering Command for disaster recovery response efforts in the aftermath of Hurricane Wilma and for cleanup and repair to the family housing units and continued hurricane relief efforts in Florida. This brings the total under the contract to $96.5 million.
Northrop Grumman Information Technology of McLean won a $50 million contract from the Headquarters Air Force Research Laboratory to provide research and development, software enhancements and operations, and maintenance for U.S. forces in South Korea.
SRA International Inc. of Fairfax won a $108.5 million contract from the Navy to provide the Military Sealift Command with a wide range of IT support services, including project management, administration and management of the afloat network operations center.
EDS Corp.'s National Heritage Insurance Co. of Herndon won a $58.8 million contract from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services to administer claims for durable medical equipment, prosthetics and orthotics. The contract will serve Connecticut, Delaware, the District, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and Vermont.
G&B Solutions Inc. of McLean won a $15 million, five-year contract from the Treasury Department to furnish independent verification and validation services to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency.
Monster Government Solutions of McLean, a business unit of New York-based Monster Worldwide Inc., won a $2.8 million contract from the Indiana Workforce Development Department to build a statewide online job search and recruitment system.
NCI Information Systems Inc. of Reston won a $4.5 million contract from the Army to support the Network Enterprise Technology Command in improving delivery of Army and Defense Department-licensed software to Army IT organizations.
Patriot Technologies Inc. of Frederick won a $34 million, five-year contract from the Air Force Operations and Sustainment Systems Group to provide Defense Department Enterprise Software Initiative users with discounts of between 4 percent and 35 percent off the General Services Administration schedule on volume purchases of software licenses, maintenance and services.
Computer Sciences Corp., Information Technology & Science Solutions Division of Lanham won a $178.3 million contract from the Transportation Department for transportation information project support services.
CBase Solutions Inc. of North Bethesda won a $2.5 million contract from the Patent and Trademark Office for public search library support services.
