Fun/exercise: "I love playing basketball with my children and enjoy a few holes of golf."

Favorites: Book, "Dream City" by Harry S. Jaffe and Tom Sherwood; television show, HBO's "Entourage"; D.C. location, Ben's Chili Bowl.

Children's schools: "Our children now attend Kingsbury Day School for learning differences. We moved them from Lafayette Elementary in Northwest when it became clear that the public school system in the District could not properly educate them."

Crime victim? Stolen car.

What makes people angry with you? "My kids get disappointed in me with the time that I spend with them. Being a candidate is a very time-consuming process and I don't like when they get disappointed when I can't spend the kind of time with them that I would like to."

Most painful memory: "My father Ron Brown's untimely death in a plane crash. He was on a trip in the Balkans. We were very close and I miss him."

What makes you happy? "Happiness is watching my children grow up in a clean safe city with opportunities for all people. And I always enjoy watching the Redskins win."
