A SINGLE-NOTE BUFFET

And we mean that in a good way.

On Friday evenings through March 31, the Ritz-Carlton Washington on 22nd Street NW presents Chocolate Decadence in its Lobby Lounge. Warm caramelized banana chocolate bread pudding, made-to-order chocolate waffles with rum ice cream and roasted pineapple, chocolate-raspberry and chocolate yuzu tarts, eclairs, opera cake, white chocolate passion fruit pots de creme, housemade chocolate hazelnut sauce . . . 35 kinds in all. Not in a single happy hour, but from 7 to 10 p.m. This is the third year the hotel has run the two-month limited engagement.

If you taste something you'd like to re-create at home, pastry supervisor Chris James will e-mail you the recipe ( christopher.james@ritzcarlton.com ). Price is $30; no reservations required. For more information, call 202-974-5566.
