CHARLOTTE, March 14 -- The Wizards and Bobcats will meet for the fourth and final time Wednesday at Verizon Center in rare back-to-back games. It will be the first time this season that the Wizards face the same team on consecutive nights. However, the Wizards have played 11 back-to-back sets involving different opponents so far this season.

The Wizards are 5-6 in the second game of a back-to-back set, with the latest setback coming in a 118-112 loss at Miami on March 8 one night after suffering a 116-115 home loss to Boston.

The Wizards have four back-to-backs remaining. Prior to Tuesday night's games, only six NBA teams had winning records in the second game of a back-to-back situation: Detroit, Phoenix, Miami, Dallas, Chicago and Utah.

"It's really not that unusual," Wizards Coach Eddie Jordan said of facing the Bobcats on consecutive nights. "The good thing is that we'll get to sleep in our own beds [Tuesday] night and come in for a home game."

The Wizards beat Charlotte, 107-97, at Verizon Center on Jan. 28 and are 3-0 against the Bobcats at home all-time.

Welcome Home

Last night's game was a homecoming for several Wizards. Forward Antawn Jamison is a Charlotte native and starred at the University of North Carolina, center Brendan Haywood is from Greensboro and played at North Carolina with Jamison, and assistant coach Mike O'Koren was a three-time all-American at North Carolina from 1977 to 1980.
