The Fairfax-Falls Church Community Services Board oversees mental health, mental retardation and substance abuse treatment services in the city of Falls Church, Fairfax City and Fairfax County. Because of staff shortages, the board has reported long waits for services. Here are some of the longest delays:

*Wait time reflects the number of caregivers planning years in advance by attempting to reserve spots for family members who will need permanent housing.
