Valet Parking for Two-Wheelers

The Washington Area Bicyclist Association will offer free valet bike parking as part of the National Cherry Blossom Festival from Saturday through April 8.

Cyclists who attend the festival can drop off their bikes at the northeast corner of 15th Street and Independence Avenue SW. The service will be available from 2 to 7 p.m. Fridays and from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.

The drop-off point is accessible by the Smithsonian and L'Enfant Plaza Metro stations and the D.C. Circulator bus line.

The bike parking is offered in partnership with the D.C. Department of Transportation and the Downtown Business Improvement District to reduce traffic congestion during the festival.

For information and a map, or to volunteer, visit http://www.waba.org or call 202-518-0524.

Clip and Save on BWI Parking

Internet-savvy fliers are getting a break on parking at Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport this spring, airport officials announced yesterday.

Through the airport's Web site -- http://www.bwiairport.com -- travelers can click on coupons that will cut the price for its terminal-area parking facilities.

The coupons are worth $5 off the $20 day rate in the hourly garage, $4 off the $14 day rate in the express service lot and $2 off the $10 day rate in the daily garage.
