As part of the deal with the United Auto Workers, 105,000 hourly GM workers and 13,000 Delphi workers will be eligible for voluntary early retirement buyouts of between $35,000 and $140,000. What's being offered:
$140,000 for workers with 10 or more years of service. Employees keep accrued pension but lose health-care and other post-retirement benefits.
$70,000 for employees with less than 10 years of service. Similar circumstances as above.
$35,000 for workers with 30 or more years of service. Employees keep full pension and other benefits.
