How many people: More than 240 million, making Indonesia the world's fourth-biggest country, by population. (It's behind China, India and the United States.)
How many kids: About 70 million. About 29 percent of Indonesia's population is younger than 15.
How big is it: More than 705,000 square miles, about 2 1/2 times the size of Texas.
Capital: Jakarta, where Kiki and his family live.
Geography: Indonesia is a string of more than 17,500 islands. About 6,000 of them have people living there.
Languages: Bahasa Indonesian is the official language. English and Dutch are also widely spoken.
Religion: About 88 percent of Indonesians are Muslim.
School: Kids ages 7 to 15 have to go to school.
Television: There are 14 televisions for every 100 people in Indonesia, compared with 84 for every 100 people in the United States.
Fun facts:
· There are more than 400 volcanoes on Indonesia's islands, and about 100 of them are still active.
· Indonesia's islands cover about 3,200 miles -- about the distance from San Francisco, California, to Boston, Massachusetts.
